Who...

MoRWA represents around 70 established and aspiring authors in the St. Louis and Metro-East regions, encompassing not only the traditional romance genre, but mainstream, suspense, and other genres as well.  

What and Why...

Our goal is to foster professionalism in the romantic fiction field and to provide support and information to members.  To that end, we meet monthly to provide a wide array of seminars by established authors, others in the publishing industry, and experts from the St. Louis community.  Members are also encouraged to join small critique groups, an invaluable tool for honing the craft and encouraging each other.  MoRWA publishes a monthly newsletter, Rumpled Sheets, with local and national news from the romantic fiction industry, articles, tips, and more. 

Where and When...

MoRWA meets monthly at the Crestwood Barnes and Noble Bookstore on Watson Road. (Click HERE for a map.) Our day begins with a "Coffee Klatsch" topic conducted at 9:30 in the bookstore cafe while the chapter Board of Directors meets, followed at 10:00 a.m. with a chapter business meeting.  The scheduled program begins at 11 a.m. and normally lasts for one hour, followed with lunch at a local restaurant.  All times are subject to change however, so check the Calendar page for the current month's schedule.

How much...

Membership is open to all current members of Romance Writers of America®, our parent organization, at an annual fee of $25.  Guests are welcome to attend our monthly meetings, but there is a guest fee of $5 per meeting.  After attending three meetings, guests will be required to join the chapter.  (Occasionally for special events, the guest fee may be higher than normal.  Check our Calendar page for that month's information.)
