morwa membership benefits
monthly meetings
Meetings provides networking opportunities for our members to discuss current publishing trends, learn writing craft, and more.
During COVID, we are meeting virtually via Zoom. We look forward to resuming in-person meetings when conditions allow.
critique group
CORE, our members'-only critique group, meets monthly separately from our monthly meeting. Assigned readers bring excerpts from their work in progress and receive feedback from participants. See our calendar for CORE dates and locations.
email group
All chapter members are on a private e-mail group for personal and chapter announcements, questions, and between-meeting discussions.
special events
MORWA periodically holds longer and all-day workshops featuring industry professionals, which we open to the public.
gateway to the best contest
Gateway to the Best is our annual romantic fiction writing contest for unpublished and self-published authors and is open to the public. Each category has three finalists whose entries are judged by industry professionals, including editors and agents.
newsletter
Our newsletter, Rumpled Sheets, is sent out monthly to keep you informed of chapter events, reviews of members' latest releases, and other items of interest.
morwa meeting information
MORWA meets most months throughout the year. Our day usually begins with our chapter business meeting at 10:00 a.m. followed by a program beginning around 11:00 a.m. All times are subject to change however, so check the Calendar page for the current month's schedule.
Guests (non-chapter members)
